Inspired by.

Parin päivän takaisen asun inspiraationa oli 20-luku. Huomasin, että tylsänmallisesta nykyaikaisesta
neuletakista saa todella kivasti vintagevaikutteisen kiinnittämällä turkiskauluksen siihen.
Nyt enää puuttuisi vaan naisellinen imuke ja cocktail.

(Translation: I took inspiration from the 20s to my outfit couple of days ago. I noticed, that I can
turn that boring modern cardigan into vintage-y by adding a fur collar on it.
Now I only need a cigarette holder and a coctail.)

Wearing: Black lacey dress - made by me, Black cardigan - thrifted, White fur stole - vintage,
Pearl necklaces - thrifted

  6. Love the 20s look on you Sara, you really suit it! I adore your fur collar, I am looking for one like that! I asked my dad how he makes his Irish coffees and he said you makes your cup of coffee as normal, add whiskey to taste, however much you like, same with sugar, add one or two spoons depending on how sweet you like it but he said it's meant to be a little sweet. Then whisk the cream a little and pour it over the back of a spoon so that it doesn't fall into the coffee. It should still pour but be a little stiff so it sits nicely on top. He also said heating the glass is a good idea to keep the drink warm! Hope that helps. If you have any other questions let me know!

    1. Thank you very much Emma! This helped me, I think when I tried to make one, my cream was too lame and not as stiff as it whould have been. Maybe next time I will succeed !:))

    1. Thank you ! Yes usually my inspiration for dressing up is 50s and rockabilly, but sometimes I do take influences from other eras :)

  8. Oh Sara, you look so very marvelous! Even since getting into the TV show Boardwalk Empire toward the end of last year, I've had the 20s on my brain (and in my fashion headlights) lately, too. I don't usually dress in looks from this era, but may just try my hand at a 1920s look this year as well.

    1. Thank you very much, Miss Lindy Lee, I am glad you like my blog !:) Yes, but it depends on the city. Here where I live in eastern Finland, I hardly ever find good vintage, but in the capital area there's few good (but so expencive) vintage boutiques. And it's easier to find vintage from the flea markets there

  13. Kyllä se vaan niin on että 20-luku on edelleen mun suosikki. Ei siitä pääse yli eikä ympäri. Varsinkin eka kuva on tosi ihana. Sulle sopii hienosti tuommonen kohtalokas look ;) Tykkään noista vanhoistakin kuvista tosi paljo, kiva rusetti tuolla ensimmäisellä naisella.

    1. Voi kiitos! Itse olen pitäytynyt viime aikoina 50-lukuvaikutteisena, mutta välillä on kiva saada jotain vaihtelua, kuitenkin tykkään myös muista aikakausista :) 20-luvun meininki kiinnostaa kovin, erityisesti sen ajan naisten maailma.
