(Translation: I went to the flea markets and to the market square today with my mom.
I found this short sleeved blazer, those amazing vintage lace gloves and couple of pretty brooches.
It is so weird that I paid more from the modern second-hand brooch than from the 50's, hand painted one.
And that vintage brooch cost only 2 euros.)

 Vuodelta 1959, käsinmaalattu rintaneula.
From 1959, handpainted brooch.

Katsoin eilisyönä Brideshead Revisitedin (mm. Emma Thompson) uusimman (?) elokuvaversion.
astuu kuvioihin, menee kaikki pilalle. Äh!

(I watched last night the newest (?) movie version of Brideshead Revisited (with Emma Thompson).
I was even more disappointed! Even that miniseries wasn't this bad and sad to me.
I am a bit annoyed to Evelyn Waughn, how could she write this kind of story. The beginning
is so lovely, cute, romantic etc, but then when that woman comes along, everything is ruined.
Damn.)

  3. If only I could find some of these wonderful thrift shops like you do, my country is too young and small so we don't actually have so much selection when it comes to vintage. That 1959 brooch is just lovely, the year detail on the back just gives it that extra special something!

  7. Sara, Love your vintage gloves. I have similar ones from my great grandmother. You have inspired me to buy a flat straw hat. I can't wait to wear it in a post. I've been working on my blogroll since moving to WordPress and I just added your blog. Debbie http://thriftygirlvintage.com
