Jump for joy! ~ Graduation day ~ June 4th 2011

(Translation: Graduation day from high school was the best!
At school I was so nervous when I went to get my cap and the diploma. My legs were
shuddering like mad. What a surprise that I didn't cry at all! Even though I might
not see my classmates ever again. Perhaps the fact that I finally got my graduation cap
was too incredible, that I could only smile. The day was nicely warm and sunny,
and the only thing that worried me a bit was that my garters won't hold.)

"Meow, just niii!"

 Isosiskoni Laura ja minä.
(My big sis Laura and I)

(About 15 guests arrived to my graduation party, but still I had so much fun!
My siblings and I had a delicious punch at my room, and we
went to my room few times to drink it in secret :D It was so good..)

 ... Kuten kuvasta näkyy!
(... As you can see!)

Perin koomista, että melkein jokaisessa kuvassa jossa minä näyn,
minulla on joko boolilasi tai kuoharilasi kädessäni. Se tietystikin
näkyi olossa sekä illemmalla että aamulla. Mutta halusin tietysti ottaa
kaiken irti koko juhlasta! :D

(It's a bit hilarious that in almost every photo I am included, I am holding a glass
filled with punch or champagne. Of course I felt it later in the evening and also
in the morning.. But I wanted to take everything out of this whole party!)

Myöhemmin lähdin Lauran ja poikakaverin (joka myös valmistui) kanssa
baariin juhlimaan, josta sitten suunnattiin - minnekäs muualle kuin - toiseen
baariin. Tanssimisen seurauksena kylkeni ja jalkani olivat
aivan rikki. Me juhlimme aamu neljään asti, mutta muut koulukaverit
olivat ilmeisesti juhlineet aamukahdeksaan. Hyvähän se on, että jotkut jaksavat
sinnekin asti.. :D

(Later in the evening Laura, my boyfriend (who also got the graduation cap) and I went
to the bar to celebrate, and after that we headed - well where else than - to another bar.
After the dancing and drinking my ribs and feet were exhausted. We celebrated
till 4am, but some of my classmates danced till 8am or so. It's cool that some guys
managed to do it.. :D)

The Dress and the petticoat - Vivien of Holloway
White belt - thrifted
White satin gloves - A gift from my boyfriend's mom
White shoes - Mekka
Pearl earrings - borrowed from Laura
(Fabulous hair-do was done by my boyfriend's mom,
thank you!)

KISSES everyone, and I hope you had/will have
as great graduation day as mine was!

  3. Congratulations!
You look so fabulous in that dress!! And it looks like such a merry time!

And my gosh, your Finnish graduation caps are so adorable-- I thought they were sailor caps at first! For our graduation we had to wear ugly robes and flat caps, not half as cute and colorful as your ceremony!
