"Burn baby burn, when you gonna learn"

I am addicted to Hudson Ford's song "Burn baby burn". I can't stop listening to it. It is so fabulous! I heard it few days ago from the radio, and I got immediately hooked. So great song indeed.

TÄÄLLÄ POHJANTÄHDEN ALLA ~ [2009]

Today I watched this finnish, historical movie, Täällä pohjantähden alla ("Under the North Star"). It is based on the novel by Väinö Linna. This story has been filmed once before, in 1968 by Edvin Laine, I haven't seen that original film yet, but I hope I will someday. I believe it is better than this one, though I did like this new version too! I was quite surprised how good it was, though I am not a fan of new finnish movies (I prefer old ones).

I loved the milieu. It shows typical finnish landscapes and four different seasons. Especially autumnal scenes I simply adored! And the costumes, of course, were amazing. Very inspiring movie, I have to say.

The cast was great! I was excited when I saw one of my favourite finnish actors, Antti Luusuaniemi, in the cast! He's absolutely fabulous, and quite handsome too.

I recommend this film to everyone! There's english subtitles available, if you are interested. (And you can read about the plot on IMDB)

♥♥♥

Her costumes are so gorgeous.

Ilkka Koivula was quite good actor, he played the headcharacter, Akseli Koskela.

Antti Luusuaniemi, fabulous.

This scene didn't last long, only couple of minutes, but still it is my favourite scene. The milieu and those horsemen suits nicely together. And autumn is so beautiful season.

Luusuaniemi is just so amazing..

Have a great evening!

“Rock and roll music, if you like it, if you feel it, you can't help but move to it. That's what happens to me. I can't help it.'” - Elvis Presley

♥♥♥

I've been listening Elvis Presley's music all the time this day. I love Elvis, he's awesome, and no one can shake hips like he can. (Sorry, Shakira.) I feel right now myself like a rockabella.. Wouldn't it be amazing to live in the 50's and see mr. Elvis performing LIVE? I'd lose my mind forever.

This day I have been watching few episodes from "Xena: Warrior Princess", too! It is maybe the best TV-show I've ever seen. Lucy Lawless is awesome. I like very much 90's fantacy -series... Like "Hercules: The Legendary Journeys"! Hercules and Xena inspired me a lot last summer, I mean when I had this bohemian dressing style. :)

Ol' blue eyes

I am sorry for lack of posts again, I've been busy with school stuff. Again. But here's outfitpost, from today, and I am sorry for blurry photos, but there wasn't any daylight left, so I had to use the lamp.. I know it would be best to take outdoor photos, but there's no one taking photos, 'cause my sister is in Joensuu right now and I don't want to ask my parents to take pics of me, it would be so weird. And I am kind of shy to take pics on our yard, I'm afraid if someone sees me :D

Blue hat - my parents brought it from some vintage boutique in Kuopio! It's so lovely!
Blue scarf - from Kuopio too
White T-shirt - H&M
Skirt - 2nd hand
Grey jacket - 2nd hand
 White gloves - 2nd hand
Umbrella - 2nd hand

I am so excited about that hat, although it reminds me of the hat I already have, but still, this one is much cuter!

Well, I should be reading history right now, so I'll just go and study hard. :)

You guys have a fantastic week!
I will try to be much less lazy.. :D

Miss Lily Elsie ~

I found stunning Lily Elsie few months ago, and I've been hooked on her ever since.. I just can't stop being amazed of her beauty and her clothings! Edwardian fashion is so dreamy, and that era would be the one I'd love to live in.

As a tribute to british actress Lily Elsie, I printed some photos of her from computer, put them in to frames and hanged them on my wall.
